Fluffy. It was an odd name for what the advertisement had listed as a marine Pokémon but who was she to judge? It was a job, if nothing else, and seemed to pay fairly well for the work entailed. All they wanted was someone to walk their beloved Pokémon up and down the beach at sunset to ensure their little darling got the exercise needed. Of course they would love to do it themselves but they were too busy and that’s where she came in, it seemed, flyer in hand as she knocked on the door of the harborside estate. It wouldn’t take long for a smart dressed and slightly anxious looking man to answer and explain the route they normally took and his expectations. It was all fairly standard but there was something about how his eyes kept darting towards the beach that would cause her to feel a bit uneasy. Why was fluffy out at sea? The answer to her unspoken question wouldn’t take long to be answered as the man led her over the sands to an inlet where a rather long leash trailed off into the
September 1st, 20XX To whoever might come across this entry. The local librarian has asked the resident townsfolk for information about odd sightings and, seeing as I grew up in the mountain region near Blackthorn I’m plenty familiar with odd things. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Most folks from that region don’t like to talk about what lurks in the shadows of the mountain and you’d be right. Speaking the name of some of these creatures is enough to grab their attention and lead them right to your door. However, there is one exception that is whispered about round hunting lodge tables that seems everyone’s heard of at least in passing. As such, I’m volunteering this journal entry to record the details of the Not-A-Deerling. At first glance you would assume this creature is any normal Deerling minding its own out in the trees. On second glance is where you start to realize the eyes aren’t quite where they're supposed to be. Have they always been that forward? And the muzzle seems
It was unconventional, at least for her. The ad had mentioned a need for flower delivery from the local florist with the incentive of providing a free map of the town. While she was sure she’d been given one of those upon moving to the island it never hurt to have more than one. At the same time, the definition of delivery is what had gotten lost in translation. The Sunflora man would glance at the goggles, the basket, and the Emolga looking over the man anxiously. When they had put out the ad they hadn’t considered anyone would be looking for air delivery. Gently pointing out the basket he would clear his throat and ask again, “And you’re sure that they won’t be damaged?” The woman wouldn’t even look up, waving him off. “As long as you secured the lid tight than they’ll be fine. So it’s this address, right?” Shoving the map his way she would look at him expectantly, seeming ignorant of his anxious sigh as he reviewed the map one more time before nodding. “Right. It needs to be today
There were few constants in life aside from death, taxes, and dishes. This simple truth was something Bonnie had learned long ago and was grateful to find she was only dealing with the latter of the three at present. Moving to a new place meant having to find a temporary source of income and when the Inn had mentioned they needed someone to buss tables she had simply rolled up her sleeves and gotten to it. Who could complain about finding work so close to home? Well, not home exactly, but it *was* where she was staying at present so it was hardly a commute. However, the Inn came with its own unique set of challenges. The first had come with the uniform. Although it was all well and good to have her bosom on display at her own facility, the Inn was a little more family friendly and had beckoned her to strap the girls in. The flannel she wore was comfortable enough but it still felt a little suffocating having to fully rein in her abundant chest while dashing table to table with a deep
