The faces of everyday,
Seen only through my eyes,
Are all the time forgotten,
Often pushed asside,
They bear witness to our happiness,
Emotions we do hide,
Yet take the brunt of our abuse,
When pleasure does subside,
The faces of everyday,
Offer guidance through our lives,
For they are hidden spectors,
Good and kind and wise,
Offer passage and a hand,
Opening the hidden ways,
Secrets yet to understand,
Clues to better passing days,
Come to me in dark of night,
Come to me whatever way,
For let our admiration dwell,
Within the faces of everyday,
within the wood,
Within the stone,
Within the shattered tile,
